In June 2007, Zabeel Investments, and Tiara Residence had the honour of hosting the 7th International Indian Film Academy's (IIFA) Weekend and Awards ceremony, which saw more than 50 Indian film stars and industry personalities descend on Dubai for the Indian equivalent of the Oscars. The weekend saw a range of film premieres, celebrity meet and greet sessions, and fan opportunities, culminating in a night of glamour, when luminaries were awarded for their contributions and outstanding performances in Indian movies from across the Subcontinent.
